By leveraging independent research, sector-wide data and advanced analytics, the Inspectorate of Policing's Centre for Data Intelligence and Innovation (CDII) supports evidence-based oversight and promotes leading practices across Ontario's policing landscape. Working collaboratively with the policing sector, governance bodies and subject matter experts, CDII helps identify emerging trends and issues, strengthen accountability, inform decision-making, and enhance public confidence in policing.
