Niagara Regional Police Service
An investigation has been completed into a complaint alleging that the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) failed to respond adequately to a noise complaint and related concerns.
After reviewing the Findings Report, the Inspector General found that NRPS complied with Ontario’s Community Safety and Policing Act and related regulations. The investigation confirmed that officers attended the scene, assessed the situation, and prioritized calls based on risk and available resources. The NRPS maintained required dispatch and communication standards and provided an appropriate emergency response.
The decision also commended NRPS for efforts to confirm attendance and communicate with callers, noting that such steps enhance transparency and public confidence.
