An investigation was conducted into a complaint alleging that a Toronto Police Service (TPS) call-taker engaged in discriminatory conduct by asking the complainant about drug and alcohol use during calls to the police.
After reviewing the Findings Report, the Deputy Inspector General concluded that the TPS complied with the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 and its regulations.
Outcome: Toronto Police Service complied with the CSPA; No evidence of discriminatory conduct
