An investigation was conducted into allegations that Michael Polowin, a member of the Ottawa Police Service Board, committed misconduct by appearing before the City of Ottawa Joint Emergency Preparation and Protective Services Public Works and Infrastructure Committee and providing a delegation in his personal capacity in support of a proposed "bubble bylaw" that would restrict protests around certain institutions.

After reviewing the Findings Report, the Inspector General concluded that Mr. Polowin did not commit misconduct under the Code of Conduct for Police Service Board Members. The Inspector General found that Mr. Polowin's conduct did not undermine public trust in the Board or the police service or use his Board position to obtain a personal benefit or create a conflict of interest.

Outcome: No misconduct found.
